PS Suspension Logger

The GMC202 Manta seabed CPT system is a 200 kN seabed cone penetration testing unit designed to deliver safe and reliable in situ soil data to depths greater than 40 m below the seabed. Penetration depths beyond industry standard are achieved through the use of 55 mm casing tubes and a continuous drive system.
The system is ideally suited to large-scale offshore wind farm investigations, either as a standalone seabed testing solution or as part of an integrated scope combining seabed in situ testing and borehole drilling.

The GMC202 operates through a vessel moonpool, enabling high production rates and safe execution of large testing programmes. The system is capable of operating in water depths up to 150 m and can be extended to operate in water depths of up to 1,500 m.
The system provides a continuous profile of tip resistance, sleeve friction and pore water pressure, supporting the derivation of key engineering parameters including in situ shear strength in cohesive soils and relative density in non-cohesive soils.

The GMC202 can operate with a range of cone sizes (10 cm² or 15 cm²) and is industry-renowned for its durability, continuous data acquisition capability and high production performance.
Designed for operational flexibility, the system can be mobilised on Geoquip Marine vessels or, where appropriate, on a vessel of opportunity, enabling efficient mobilisation and integration into offshore site investigation campaigns.
