The system delivers approximately 100 times the output energy of conventional borehole sonic tools, making it particularly effective in soft soils and highly attenuating formations where standard sonic logging techniques often perform poorly.

This method is uniquely capable of obtaining both P- and S-wave velocity data reliably within a single uncased borehole at depths greater than 60 m, with proven application to depths of up to 600 m.

High-resolution data, typically acquired at 1 m intervals, allows thin layers to be resolved that can have a disproportionate influence on ground response and foundation behaviour.
