Geoquip Marine conducted a geotechnical investigation programme along a proposed offshore cable route supporting energy transmission infrastructure.

Cable route investigations require detailed information on seabed conditions to support burial assessment, installation design and route engineering.

The offshore investigation included seabed cone penetration testing, vibrocorer sampling and targeted subsurface sampling to characterise soil conditions along the cable corridor.

The resulting geotechnical data provided engineers with the parameters required to assess cable burial conditions and develop installation strategies.
