Geoquip Marine will be opening a geotechnical laboratory to accommodate the continuing growth in the demand for its services. Work is currently well underway to install the specialist testing equipment at the premises in Bristol, turning it into a fully equipped geotechnical laboratory. It is planned to receive its first samples for testing, factual reporting, and engineering services by Geoquip Marine over the course of the summer season.

Overseeing the commissioning and accreditation of the laboratory and its subsequent operation is Andy Wood, who joined Geoquip Marine in 2021. He brings with him over 30 years of experience in the geotechnical site investigation industry, holding a variety of operational and senior management roles.

“The expansion of our services to include onshore geotechnical laboratory testing is a key part of delivering our strategic growth plan and we are grateful to Andy for joining the Geoquip Marine leadership team, bringing with him a wealth of experience. He will be invaluable in getting the laboratory up and running and will generally be a big asset to the company going forward,” commented Chief Executive Officer Stewart Higginson.
