Geoquip Elena Continues Strong Momentum into 2026

Following the successful completion of her annual maintenance, Geoquip Elena has been active in UK waters as part of her 2026 campaign, with her current project due to complete in early July.

As we reach the midpoint of 2026, it is worth reflecting on a remarkable 2025, one that saw the vessel support clients across Europe through a diverse range of offshore operations, showcasing both versatility and technical excellence.

January to June 2025 The year began with a major transformation, as Geoquip Elena was converted into a highly efficient cable laying vessel through a bespoke deck configuration. In this role, she successfully delivered inter array cable installation and ROV inspection works for an offshore wind farm project in French territorial waters.

August to December 2025 Building on this momentum, Geoquip Elena undertook a series of back to back projects in the North Sea. Operating across the Dutch German sector, the vessel delivered deep push seabed CPTU investigations to refusal, completing approximately 250 CPT locations. This campaign demonstrated exceptional operational efficiency and the ability to consistently deliver reliable geotechnical data safely in challenging offshore conditions.

One client described the operation as their “first experience witnessing the deployment of a 200 kN seabed CPTU unit via crane through a vessel moonpool”, a testament to Geoquip Marine’s innovative approach and commitment to safely delivering reliable data.

A huge congratulations to our offshore and onshore teams whose expertise and dedication made these achievements possible.

As she approaches the completion of her current project this July, we look forward to building on this strong momentum through the second half of 2026.
