Our commitment to technical excellence takes many forms. One of the most important is our bespoke Continuing Professional Development programme, delivered in partnership with the University of Bristol’s Structural, Geotechnical and Earthquake Engineering Research Group — the first year of which we are proud to have successfully completed.
Central to this initiative is our commitment to safely delivering reliable data for our clients. Our partnership with the University of Bristol is one of the ways we invest in that standard, ensuring our teams are equipped with deep, current knowledge of geotechnical engineering and practice. As the offshore sector continues to evolve, that foundation of technical excellence is what clients can rely on in every project we undertake.
The programme, which ran from February to May 2026, comprised five in-person sessions held at the Geoquip Marine laboratory in Bristol. Topics spanned the fundamentals of soil mechanics, offshore geotechnical design, conventional and advanced laboratory testing, soil behaviour and modelling frameworks, and characterisation of challenging geomaterials.
The sessions were delivered by Professor Erdin Ibraim, Professor Andrea Diambra, and Dr. Tingfa Liu, and were attended by our engineering and laboratory teams throughout the series. Certificates of completion will be issued to all attendees, recognising their participation and the CPD hours accrued.
The programme was jointly developed to meet the specific technical needs of our growing team of geotechnical specialists, and reflects the broader strength of our academic partnership with the University of Bristol, a collaboration that also spans PhD research, undergraduate and postgraduate project support, and joint participation in international conferences including ICSMGE 2026 and OSIG 2027.
